Subject: At Any Cost has Arrived!!!

Praise the Lord, we have finally arrived! Today is Wed. and I tried to write three times last night but computer errors wiped out all three messages. So as the saying goes, the 4th time is the charm or something like that.

We arrived on Tuesday at 1 pm in Cape Town after leaving San Francisco at 8 am in Sunday. Bad weather on the East Coast resulted in us missing our connection to So. Africa by 20 minutes. Delta rerouted us to Milan, Italy. Isn't God great. We had an 8 hour layover in Milan. We took the team into Milan via the train & tube to see El Duomo, the largest cathedral in Italy. It was magnificent. Almost as good was our fist experience eating gelato (Italian ice cream). Josh Carnill, the 11th member of our team, from Ecuador, arrived last night at 9:30 pm and our luggage arrived intact at 11 pm. We picked up Josh and our luggage at the airport and got to bed at 1:30 a.m. (yawn). Our accommodations at Wellwood Guest House are comfortable and clean with a complete breakfast included each morning. We all slept like newborn babies last night until we were awakened by our new Timex alarm clocks, given to each team member by Pastor Larry & Alice before we left Sacramento!

The team is healthy, energetic and ready to serve the Lord! We had many, many spontaneous prayer circles to ask Him for help and direction. God solved all the challenges in ways only He could do!

God Sightings:
- Our original 18 jour flight to So. Africa was split into two segments; 8 ½
hours to Milan and 10 hours Milan to J'Berg and 2 hours to Cape Town.
- Reroute to Milan, Italy
- Meeting in the customs line and on the plane students from Univ. of Cape Town. We invited them all to our presentations at their university on July
28 & Aug 4.
- Protecting our 23 pieces of luggage, with 11 pieces being sound equipment
- Godly, positive attitude of each team member during the missed flight,
long waiting in lines and airports, going without a meal for nearly 12 hours
etc.

Our schedule has changed slightly due to our airline challenges. Today our schedule will be the same as Tuesday. Tour CCFm radio & rehearsal in the afternoon. On Thursday, Fish Hoek HS had to cancel, so we will be going to Pollsmoor Prison in the a.m. This is God's agenda and He has already made adjustments as needed, and they are perfect! It is raining intermittently today. The temperature is moderate with a slight wind off the Indian Ocean. It is so beautiful looking at the towering hills around this city and the ocean waves tumbling onto the shore. We are about 3 blocks from the ocean!

Thank you all for your daily prayers. We felt your prayer covering the first three days while traveling. God is so awesome and we are humbled that He cares for us, the At Any Cost Team. Talk to you soon!

At any cost,
Dave for Donna and the Team
